Beth U. has been a CSL Plasma donor for well over a year. The native of Brecksville, Ohio, donates at the CSL Plasma center in Parma Heights, Ohio.
She began donating as plasma was being considered for potential use in response to the pandemic and she had recovered from COVID-19.
She planned to stop donating after her antibody levels no longer supported research, but sharing a selfie taken outside the CSL Plasma center in a LinkedIn post changed this.
“I received an outpouring of thanks from recipients and family members of whose lives were saved because of the generosity of plasma donors,” shares Beth. “At that moment, I knew I had to keep giving back.”
Doing the amazing by donating plasma has been more rewarding than Beth would have ever imagined.
“I had no idea how impactful and needed my donations would be. Impactful to me and impactful to patients,” she shares. “I look forward to the feeling I get when I leave the donation center knowing I’m making a difference. Plasma donation is a great way to give back and support others in need.”
For anyone a little nervous about plasma donation for the first time, Beth shares: “Knowledge, education and experience are the antidote to fear. The team at the donation center is fantastic and will support you every step of the way.”
