Jose P. is a trained physician, employee of CSL Plasma and a frequent plasma donor.
He is also on a mission to donate plasma at CSL Plasma centers in as many states as possible. So far, he has donated in 12 states. Before working for CSL Plasma,
Jose prescribed medicines made from plasma for patients when he was a health care provider at a hospital in Honduras.
“I know how important these medications are to patients and what they do in someone’s life,” he said. “Employees and donors should be proud of what we do every day.”
Jose is active in sharing his personal donation commitment in social media as well as raising awareness of careers the company offers.
“Happiness doesn’t result from what you get, but what you give,” shares Jose as he encourages anyone interested to consider making a plasma donation at any of CSL Plasma’s centers across the U.S. and world.
Patients inspire Jose. During his medical rotation in pediatric oncology, he helped provide care for children suffering with hemophilia and other immunodeficiency diseases – children who relied on plasma-based therapies.
“I recently joined a virtual call for a patient organization in South Carolina and heard how plasma-based medications have changed and improved patients’ lives,” shares Jose. “It touched my heart how patients were thankful for everything plasma donors do.”
Jose also shares this advice for new plasma donors: “Hydration is very important, however, completing your second donation is the key. Think about the many lives you are saving and improving with every drop of plasma you are donating. Donating plasma is something to be proud of.”
